my dream, my future ....

Everyone of us has a dream. We dream what we want To be in the future. Dream is like an ambition. All of us has the right to have a dream because it is free.
My dream is to be a successful dental technician. I want to be a dental technician because I'm idolizing my tita who was in abroad. I want to be like her in the future. I want that to happen because i know that i will be contented with it . I'm enjoying when I'm with a that and for sure i will enjoy being a dental technician in the future. i know that my future depends of what my personalities are. I should be determined so that i will reach my dream.
We should discipline ourselves to reach our dream so that in the future, our dream will be real. We should be determined also. Helping ourselves will make us successful. Dreams will come true if you really want it.

change:its starts with me

ONE particular saying that has always struck me as unintelligent is, “People don’t change.” I believe that although each individual has deep-rooted personality traits, we are not held captive by them. Believing that we can’t change encourages us to accept our weaknesses. Countless people with substance problems declare they aren’t capable of quitting. But then it is much easier to continue a harmful behavior when accountability is placed on an outside force like genetics or an “addictive personality”.
When we say people can’t change it is analogous to saying people can’t learn. I have read that when you learn something new, that knowledge fundamentally changes you. Each fragment of information adds to your personal database, creating additional resources to draw on when interacting with the outside world. We face the same temptations to take on negative behavior, but we also build a body of experience that tells us the reward isn’t worth the penalty. Comparing ourselves today from ourselves a few years ago, we can observe that we are the sa“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the most responsive to change”. Keep growing, keep learning, and keep advancing. Continuity gives us roots; change gives us branches, letting us stretch and grow and reach new heights. It is possible to change the way we think, live, and how organizations function. We just need to embrace change. After all, the bamboo that bends is stronger than the oak that resists.

KANNAWIDAN:The Ylocos Festival

Ilocos Sur has a rich heritage and unique culture that are to be preserved for the next generations because it is observed that many of these traditions, songs, dances and other Ilocano culture are not familiar to the younger generations already. Children of today are paying more attention to the modern and novelty dances they seen on the television than the traditional ones. There is also a need to evaluate the different products of the different municipalities and the agricultural products and livestock of the farmers and fisher folks. Because of this, the provincial government of Ilocos Sur conceived a festival that will highlight these culture and traditions and attract local and foreign tourists as well. They call it the KANNAWIDAN Ylocos Festival, it is also a time to commemorate the anniversary of Ilocos Sur as a province since it was separated on February 3, 1818.The celebration was opened by a celebrated mass held at the St. Paul Metropolitan Cathedral followed by a procession of the patron saints of the 40 parishes and images of Jesus Christ and Virgin Mary around the province’s capital city. This shows the deep rooted religiosity of the Ilocanos. Rev. Fr. Roque Reyes who officiate the mass articulated in his homily that this festivity is the time to thank the Almighty not only for the abundance He showered for the province but also the rich heritage of the place including the strong ties among the Ilocano families.
A dinner for all was held at the Plaza Salcedo where all the bystanders and even the local and foreign tourists present were invited to join. A fireworks display goes after the meal which enjoyed by the crowd.A traditional opening ritual was performed by the students of the Ilocos Sur Special Highschool for Culture and the Arts, Vice Gov. DV Savellano and the officials of the DepEd Ilocos Sur to formally start the different contests for elementary and highschool students. These include traditional tribal rituals, choir and glee club competition, marching band contest, traditional music ensemble, dance drama, traditional and folk dances, contemporary dance competition and street dancing showdown. This highlight according to the officials is their way to encourage the young Ilocanos to learn the indigenous songs and dances so that these will continue and become familiar to the young generations.

new year , new life ..

New year and new life. As the new year opens before us, I reflect on trials of yesteryear and know that I wouldn't be here without the love of Christ. With the New Year already upon us, what better way to start and continue the year and your life with some new years resolution ? I’m not talking about losing weight; I’m talking about gaining life! As far as we know, we have only one life to live.
People throughout the world are in a time of revelation, which can be seen by the protests, economic downturn and government upheaval occurring around the world. Yes, these times are hard for many. Many of us are used to living a certain lifestyle, and as a result of these difficult times, we’ve had to change our lifestyle in order to adapt and make it through.
There are many who believe that after we get through these times, things will go back to the way they were. Then again, things may not – and maybe they shouldn’t. From the protests and other demonstrations taking place, it’s evident that our way of life is not sustainable and apparently didn’t work.
